The Coaching Layer
No Day 7 call. Beakon, office hours, and the Threat Academy email drip carry the cohort through ten business days.
#26Kerry introduces Threat Academy. Case studies move to email drip
In the previous version of the kickoff, Kerry walked through five case studies live — that ate twenty minutes and the MSPs absorbed maybe one. The case studies have moved into an automated email drip across the 10 business days. One case study per BOATS stage, Tue/Thu 9 AM ET, surfacing inside Beakon when the MSP hits the relevant stage.
Build the Tue/Thu drip and configure Beakon to cross-reference cases in-platform.
#27End of first call — clear next steps + ongoing self-serve + CRM update
Three things every MSP leaves with: the in-product checklist, Threat Academy access, and Kerry's four office-hours slots. After the call, Read.ai captures the full sixty minutes, generates the structured summary, and Vicky imports it into HubSpot as the deal note. Read.ai → HubSpot is the loop that turns coaching into institutional memory.
#28Office hours and email for one-offs
Kerry's office hours: Tuesdays 10:00–11:00 ET and Thursdays 3:00–4:00 ET, both weeks. Four sessions total, bookable in 15-minute slots. Email: kerry@threatcaptain.com, 48-hour response window. Brent books May 26 to walk Kerry through his Sundial one-pager. Anything beyond is Pro Services and is paid.
#29Mid-trial — Beakon, office hours, email drip carry the cohort
There is no Day 7 Monday cohort call. The model deliberately replaces it with always-on Beakon coaching, four office-hours sessions, and the case-study email drip.
- Beakon coaches Brent in real time. When Brent advances Sundial to "Proposal Sent," Beakon prompts him to log the meeting outcome and surfaces the next-step playbook.
- Brent gets the BOATS case-study emails — B Tue May 19, O Thu May 21, A Tue May 26, T Thu May 28, S Tue June 2.
- Brent books May 26 office hours, walks through his one-pager with Kerry for fifteen minutes, applies her edits, sends it before the May 27 meeting.
- Texas books May 21 for proposal triage. Pittsburgh skips office hours and uses Beakon plus Threat Academy. Salt Lake discovers the deal owner isn't actually the decision-maker. Kerry counts the pause as a win.
By Friday May 29, Brent has used Kerry for fifteen minutes total. Beakon has coached him through approximately forty separate in-platform interactions on Sundial alone. Sundial is signed.
Slack-as-placeholder isn't right if TC isn't a Slack-customer-facing company. Decide: dedicated Circle community, in-platform message board owned by Beakon, email-only, or Slack Connect.
